Three generations of vaidyas have made Rasashram medicines by the classical texts. Today that is 53 house formulations and 191 classical preparations, from bhasma to avaleh, made at our own campus near Gondal.

Bhasma, ras rasayan, vati, guggul, taila and more, made to the recipes of Bhaishajya Ratnavali, Ayurveda Sara Sangraha and other texts.
From the garden to the kharal
Classical rasa medicines cannot be hurried. Each stage below is set by the texts, and some take days.
Gather
Herbs and minerals are selected and checked before they enter the plant. Our Gondal campus has its own botanical garden.
Purify
Every raw material goes through shodhana, the long purification the texts prescribe, before it is used in a formula.
Grind
Powders are ground in the kharal with herbal juices and decoctions, often for days, until the texture is right.
Heat
Controlled heating turns them into avaleh, bhasma and rasayana, each by its own method.
Test
Batches are checked in our own laboratory, which follows Good Laboratory Practices, before packing.
The seal on every Rasashram box is a kharal, the stone mortar where rasa medicines are ground, set in a lotus.You will find it on the flaps of our cartons.

Masala chaas
Whisk a glass of chilled buttermilk, stir in half a teaspoon of Chhachh Masala and serve at once. Add a few mint leaves if you have them.
Fruit chaat
Cut guava, pineapple, watermelon and cucumber, sprinkle Chhachh Masala to taste and toss.
Rose petals, sugar and praval
Made from Rosa centifolia petals and sugar, with praval (coral) added as the classical recipe asks. The pack suggests one to two teaspoons with milk.

Sixty-five years of making medicine the classical way
Rasashram began in 1961 with a simple aim: restore Ayurveda to its original glory and encourage people to turn to nature’s way of healing.
A pharmacy is founded
Bhishagratna Rajvaidya Maheshwar J. K. Shastri, honoured as “Ayurvedmartand”, establishes Rasashram Pharma Laboratories to restore Ayurveda to its original glory.
A new campus near Gondal
Growing demand brings a modern plant on nearly 2,00,000 sq ft beside N.H. 27, with about 70,000 sq ft of buildings, a gaushala and a botanical garden.

The Vyas family runs production, quality control and marketing. The 53 Rasashram originals are the result of three generations of research and practice.

Raw materials go through long, severe purification exactly as the texts lay down, and every batch is tested in our own laboratory.

We do not push products with heavy advertising. Doctors and vaidyas who trust the medicines are how Rasashram has grown.

We have always kept prices low while holding our standards. That is still how the 2025 list is set.
